Your Right to Opt Out
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and similar state privacy laws, you have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information.
Verdictly does not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary consideration. However, like many websites, we use third-party advertising and analytics services (such as Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and similar tools) that may constitute “sharing” of personal information under CPRA for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.
How to Opt Out
You can opt out of tracking cookies and data sharing in the following ways:
Browser settings. You can configure your browser to block third-party cookies or use “Do Not Track” signals.
Global Privacy Control (GPC). We respect GPC signals sent by your browser. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out request.
Email request. Contact us at [email protected] with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share” and we will process your request within 15 business days.
What This Means in Practice
When you opt out:
- We will not load advertising pixels (Facebook, Google Ads, Reddit) that share your browsing data with those platforms
- We will not load analytics tools that create cross-site tracking profiles
- Core website functionality (browsing settlements, using the calculator, viewing lawyer profiles) will continue to work normally
Categories of information that may be shared
When tracking cookies are active, the following categories of information may be shared with our advertising and analytics partners:
Identifiers
IP address, device ID, cookie identifiers
Internet activity
Pages visited, time on site, click patterns
Geolocation
Approximate location derived from IP address
We do not share your name, email, phone number, injury details, or case information with advertising platforms for their own marketing purposes.
Sensitive Personal Information
Verdictly collects certain information that may qualify as sensitive personal information under CPRA, including health-related data (injury type, medical treatment status) provided through our settlement calculator and intake forms.
We use this sensitive information only to provide you with settlement estimates and, if you request it, to connect you with attorneys. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted under CPRA Section 1798.121.

Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. You will receive the same quality of service regardless of whether you opt out of data sharing.
