Texas Jury Awards $9,685 for Rear-End Collision Injuries

On January 25, 2020, a collision occurred in Texas when a vehicle, stationary at a red traffic light, was rear-ended by another driver. The occupants of the stationary vehicle, referred to as the plaintiffs, subsequently filed a lawsuit against the driver of the striking vehicle, identified as the defendant. The plaintiffs alleged the defendant's negligence caused them bodily injuries and property damage, seeking compensation for physical pain, mental anguish, medical expenses, loss of earnings, and vehicle repair costs, among other damages.
