Atlanta Jury Awards $12,080.33 in Rear-End Collision

On October 15, 2015, a vehicle stopped at the intersection of Abernathy Road and Peachtree Dunwoody Road in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia, was rear-ended by another eastbound vehicle. The plaintiff alleged the defendant driver was negligent for following too closely, failing to stop, and failing to maintain proper control. As a result of the collision, the plaintiff claimed extensive physical injuries, medical expenses totaling over $12,000, and experienced physical pain and mental anguish.

The plaintiff filed a complaint seeking damages for medical costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering. The defendant responded by denying that any negligent act or omission caused the plaintiff's alleged injuries or damages.
